Trolls In Second Life - The Wild Kingdom

Many colorful species to be seen in your neighborhood

Hello children! And welcome to SL Wild Kingdom! Today in my intrepid adventurers, we're going to look at a few of the species of that most prolific genus of the Internet World, the Troll. Do watch with caution kids, these creatures are wild, and not be be made direct contact with. Most are harmless enough if ignored, but some are downright rabid and volatile if they don't get the attention from you that they feed on.

Now, Trolls are a ubiquitous animal, and can be found almost anywhere on the internet. Today we'll be looking at a few of the species found here in Second Life. We'll look at everything from the Pompous Pseudois Intellectualis to the Grieferus Assholus Nolifus - and you'll soon be able to identify these species in your own back yard.

First, a few basics about Trolls. Trolls are a strange sort of creature, and no two are exactly identical in their behavioral patterns. The varied species differ in many ways, including real-life job status, but there are universal similarities which make a troll easy to recognize. All trolls need to induce petty irritation in humans to survive. They feed off the pointless negative energy created when they goad and annoy humans they encounter, almost always unprovoked, with no logical thought process behind their initial feeding attacks that science has yet discovered. Without this negative energy Trolls get sick and depressed, as they have nothing fulfilling in their lives otherwise to entertain them or make them feel worthwhile.

A Special Valentine's Day Plywood

[Looks like I missed an episode somewhere. No matter, I'll catch you up later, but for now I wanted to be sure to post this special Valentine's Day edition of Plywood. Let it serve as a cautionary tale about just how much we have to lose from grid problems and bad neighbors. Happy Valentine's Day!

Plywood Returns!

The Herald is proud to present the return of Plywood, the Web Comic! After its first smash run ended last year, Moriash Moreau (my neighbor in Louise, wouldn't you know) has brought back our favorite Second Life comic strip (well, my favorite, anyway), which we're delighted to feature in a nearly exclusive run in the pages of the Second Life Herald. We've got a little catching up to do, so expect another installment soon after this one, and then it's back to Plywood's regular as-Mori-feels-like-it schedule. Enjoy!

Introducing the Herald Phunny Pages

The Herald is pleased to announce the appointment of SL resident Brian Mifflin to the cosmically prestigous position of Herald Phunny Page Editor. We will be publishing a weekly comic strip and occasional cartoons with SL subject matter. Contact Brian in game if you wish to be a contributor. (Yes we pay). We begin by serializing Second Theory -- a comic strip that Brian has made and posted on his web site, so some of you may have seen them. If so, enjoy them again as we republish them over the next few weeks.
