Newdoll Nikolaidis -- Post 6 Grrrl

[A photo shoot with Newdoll is like travelling through time and space – from pinup to cyberpunk, from Asia to India, her inventory seems to be a black hole. I wonder if it's big enough to make her log in under water so it loads at all but I forgot to ask. I have a philosophy on Secondlife; if its not fun, then you're not doing it right. I really don't get why people love to have drama in their Secondlife. Honestly, our first lives are full of enough drama.

Secondlife is my time to unwind, hang out with friends, explore, go shopping, be stupid, take photos and be creative. Save the drama for yo' mama, Secondlife isn't the place to offload your issues onto other people - go find a shrink and pay them to sort your problems, 'coz we sure don't get anything out of it.

It's my friends that really make Secondlife for me, rather than name each one and sound like I'm trying to impress, I'd rather say "Thank you! You make my Secondlife!".

I love how we can be a million miles away from each other but still, even sometimes without a word being said, know what the other is thinking, which reminds me to give thanks to Linden Lab for bringing us together.

I'm pretty inquisitive by nature but I wouldn't say nosey.

I love to explore and that's how my love of SL photography came about. I'll wander from sim to sim and take photos of what I've seen. It's inspiring to see how creative some people are and how they've brought their visions to 'life'.

I love photography in my 1st life, too. I've travelled extensively and love to see and experience how the rest of the world lives. It has made me realise that after all is said and done, every single one of us seeks the same things; someone who loves us, a roof over our head to keep us warm at night and food on the table.

Recently I've made the transition from a dabbling in-world creator to a seller of my wares, I have to thank Sasy Scarborough (http://scarboroughflairbysasyscarborough.wordpress.com/) and Winter Jefferson (http://incoldbloodsl.blogspot.com/) for their encouragement - as well as kicks up the bum to finally start selling my poses, and to Aemilia Case (Philotic Energy: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Imogen/210/78/251) for offering me some space put a vendor stand out so people can try them out in-world.

It was such a buzz setting it all up and even now when someone stops by and purchases my poses, it's such a thrill to think that someone else will have fun with stuff I've made.

I love your philosophy, Newdoll! "I have a philosophy on Secondlife; if its not fun, then you're not doing it right" is a great credo, for both offline life and Second Life. I really, really, really detest and despise drama! (Oh wait, that was dramatic. Oops.)
