Shock!!! Pixeleen Mistral is Urizenus Sklar?!

by Alphaville Herald on 05/07/08 at 6:10 pm

Special to the Herald by staff reporter Idoru Wellman

The supersleuths at upstart interweb newspaper The Griefer Herald believe they have unlocked the secret identity of Second Life Herald managing editrix Pixeleen Mistral.

She is… wait for it… none other than Herald founder Urizenus Sklar.

Asked to comment on the story, Urizenus admitted that he was identical with himself, and Pixeleen concurred that Uri was indeed identical with himself. Meanwhile, further information has come forward suggesting that Urizenus, a.k.a. philosopher Peter Ludlow in real life, might also be identical to Prokofy Neva, Thomas Pynchon, Francis Bacon and d3adl3yc0d3c.

Uri2
Urizenus Sklar – identical with himself

These amazing revelations sent a flurry of internet sleuths scurrying on identical identity quests – all seeming to lead toward the rumored Interweb Illuminati — a shadowy cabal that some believe runs the metaverse as a sort of über FIC, while at the same time appreciating a really good coq au vin and the importance of getting just the rightchampagne vinegar when making béarnaise sauce.

Could this be proof positive of a conspiracy which Prokofy Neva is only now starting to suspect exists? Is Tizzers Foxchase in on it? As Uri/Peter/Pix/Prok/Tom/Francis/d3adl3y are fond of saying, in the hall of mirrors that is the interwebs the world may never know.

You know what’s really funny about this? No one cares. Try to be so self absorbed that you have to start writing dumb articles about yourself to gain hits.

At least the Old Herald used to be entertaining. Now it’s just stupid.

Breaking News: Second Life is actually a Single player offline game, all 5 something million accounts are my alts.

    @Yeah

Actually they’re trying to discredit the griefer herald by appearing to call attention to the allegations and making them into a joke. It is normally a pretty effective tactic, except that they forgot that SLH almost NEVER responds to “trolls”, especially to write an article on them (except for Penny, that is). I am convinced based on the fact that they have responded and that Uri himself responded in the comments section of the griefer herald article, that someone has pushed a button. I think perhaps the other blog is on to something.

    This just in…

The SL community was up in arms yesterday at the revelation that Linden Lab is being run by none other than serial-person-impersonators ELIZA and ALICEbot.

(cuts to file footage of newbie avatar, wailing)
“Someone should’ve been onto this a lot earlier. To think something like this could be allowed to go on… in our own MMORPG… it’s just unthinkable. Something’s got to be done!”
(cuts back to anchor, looking sincere)

As calls for embattled script ELIZA to step down as CER* intensify, it this morning issued the following statement…

“We were discussing you, not me”

ALICEbot was not available for comment.

    *(Chief Executive Routine, of course)

You know after reading that article on the “other” Herald, as long as it is, some things are starting to make sense.

Circumstantial or not, the case is strong and the response from this Herald seems to point that someone dug too close to something they weren’t supposed to.

This article here is the typical Second Life Herald attempt to undercut another site’s article.

I suggest people read the article on the “other” Herald. If my post even gets through.

Several of the comments here are from known herald staffers and it is no secret that Tenshi Vielle and Griefer Herald owner Proper Prim/deadlycodec have been at odds. I have been anxious to see what Prokofy Neva has to say. I am CERTAIN that she has seen it too and I know that the Griefer Herald also sent the information to her BEFORE they published their article. Prok, however, has remained silent. She is likely not willing to speak out about this just because the information was sent to her by a bunch of griefers/former griefers. I have asked around a bit and many people associated with Herald staff that aren’t working for them have said that they had suspicions periodically as well.

I am certain that those allegations are true and frankly, I was ecstatic when SLH decided to publish this article knowing that it would give us even more credibility. Is there anyone who had regular contact with both Peter Ludlow AND Pixeleen? It seems to be one or the other in most cases. I have a theory as to why that is. Mr. Ludlow is NOT stupid at all. He knows that if he speaks to a person with both identities too often that people would eventually figure him out.

I believe that SLH has become a much greater research project for Ludlow and Mr. Wallace. I think that this elaborate ruse is genius and impressive but I am also very very angry. The fact is, I let myself get too close to that fictional character and this asshole didn’t have the courtesy to warn me except with very vague hints. When I figured everything out and approached “Pixeleen”, he had nothing to say and just ignored me. No apology, nothing. I wanted to know WHY this was done and I received no explanation and I spent about two days trying to get one. “Pixeleen” was online in GoogleChat and after messaging her and waiting a few hours, messaging again, waiting more I finally told him/her that I would be exposing the truth. Ludlow, being perhaps as arrogant as I am, apparently doubted my ability to expose him. That still remains to be seen though. There will of course be those who are skeptical, SLH staff will have their sock puppets and perhaps make a few posts under their pseudonyms, etc, etc. In the end, I am confident that the truth WILL come out.

Today someone posted as Urizenus Sklar at my site from ip 38.98.189.130 which geolocates to Chicago, IL if you check at http://www.infosniper.net/index.php?ip_address=38.98.189.130&map_source=1&lang=1&map_type=3&zoom_level=13

Additionally, the person who posted under the above IP used a very unique phrase that is also present in this article:

“in the hall of mirrors that is the interwebs the world may never know.”

In addition to THAT there is mention of Prokofy:

“Could this be proof positive of a conspiracy which Prokofy Neva is only now starting to suspect exists?”

There was only THREE people I told that I was going to send my evidence to Prok as well and two of them I told after this article was published. The only other person was “Pixeleen” whom I have on GoogleChat. I confronted Ludlow through his Pixeleen gmail account and after being ignored for awhile I told him that I’d be publishing the truth on my site and that I sent prok some info too. I have ONLY had direct contact with Ludlow’s Uri account where he actually responded once and he is not on my Googlechat. I suspect this is because I have had such regular contact with “Pix” that he knows I would recognize him if he had too much contact with me as Ludlow.

This article is Pixeleen’s writing, of that I am certain. This article is designed to make us look like idiots while the Herald attempts to make this into a joke so that people will assume that their re-linking to my site and joking about it means that we’re wrong. We aren’t and I don’t believe for one minute that SLH readers are stupid enough to buy SLH’s crap either.

In summary, the person who wrote this article also posted on my site as Uri. It is EXTREMELY PROBABLE that the same person is Pixeleen AND we KNOW that the person was at the time located in Chicago, IL where Ludlow’s girlfriend is and NOT anywhere near NC where Pixeleen claims to live as per regular contact with her AND her LinkedIn profile:
    http://www.linkedin.com/profile?viewProfile=&key=13875788&fromSearch=0&sik=1215070018807&split_page=1&rd=out&authToken=7yFgf0LRO-457BggSE5EXRbkAZnl4lenQpfnRhljPkNej0Ndkh6ejcUdPwUdPkTe3cN&authType=OUT_OF_NETWORK&goback=%2Esrp_1_1215070018807_out
Interestingly, the name at the top changed from Pixeleen to Private today. Hmm. Anyway, It is a holiday weekend so Ludlow might just be at his girlfriend’s apartment (BTW, I have a picture of it courtesy of google maps) or pix could actually be Emma. It is EXTREMELY likely based on evidence that I have gathered that either Emma Wellman or Peter J. Ludlow IS Pixeleen Mistral. I fully believe it is Ludlow personally, however, I have acknowledged all of the possibilities. The End.

Not knowing any of the parties involved, nor having any real stake in the matter (beyond the ordinary gossip interest of a typical Herald(s) reader), I have no dog in this fight. The GH’s claim about Urizenus and Pixeleen seems plausible enough, I suppose. But PP’s reasoning in the last comment is not so convincing.

Assuming it is true that Peter Ludlow’s girlfriend lives in Chicago, it would hardly be surprising that he would be in that great city, especially during a holiday weekend. So the fact that the comment from Urizenus at GH was posted from Chicago doesn’t appear to be of any significance at all.

The phrase about “the hall of mirrors that is the interwebs” is likewise not necessarily so telling. That seems like the sort of phrase a philosophy professor might use. If (as this SLH post suggests), Urizenus/Ludlow has used the phrase frequently, it wouldn’t be so surprising that it would appear in both his comment and this SLH post. And of course, Urizenus/Ludlow, as editor of the SLH, might even have written both the comment and the post, in which case it would be entirely unsurprising that he’d use the same phrase in both places.

As for the mention of Prokofy, that is by far the slenderest reed. Prok is the most notorious SL crank/conspiracy theorist in the metaverse. Anyone wishing to dismiss a story (fairly or unfairly) as a conspiracy theory would very likely bring up Prok. It is practically an internet tradition.

Yes that is what I am saying. I was saying that I believe that Ludlow wrote the post and this article AND that he is Pixeleen Mistral based on the writing style and the comment about Prok but you ARE right about the Prok thing. It really doesn’t mean much at all because she is known to be such a conspiracy theorist. If this is true then I doubt we would ever find any hard evidence, only circumstantial like we’ve had. Ludlow is too smart to let the cat out of the bag by accident. The only time it will be revealed without a doubt is when he wants it to be. I’m not underestimating him but I am interested in him helping me prove it isn’t true, if that is the case. If I was wrong then there will of course be a retraction.

About the only thing I can be reasonably sure of in SL is that I am ME. Anything else is based on experience and supposition (not to be confused with suppository, which is a different thing altogether). The mere fact that Second Life is, by design, a fantasy existence, suggests that trying to work out who is who, and who is an alt is chimerical at best and better left to folks who like to tilt at windmills.

The endemic uncertainty of identity in Second Life is also fertile ground for conspiracy. No doubt there are people out there – and hopefully a minority – who have unassailable proof that Linden Lab is no more than a front for the Illuminati, that the staff of the Herald is all alts for Elvis, and that the internet itself is run by aliens in Hanger 51. Finding links between X and Y is stunningly easy, but contingency is not correlation and simply listing lots and lots of links still makes the Truth nothing more than an exercise in the fabrication of verisimilitude.

Second Life is an Existentialist’s paradise and folks who subscribe to other philosophies will spend most of their time scratching their pixilated heads until the prims fall off. There is little truth or reality in Second Life and should you choose to accept that notion, life – unreal as it is – becomes much more palatable.

Me? I’m going to go out and shop, do some work on the house, finish an article for the SL press, take my GF dancing, and then go to sleep in my primmy bed and log off. Mundane? Of course! Absurd? Naturally! But whether Pix is Uri has, in all honesty, zero effect on my Second Life, or indeed anyone else.

    Unless he/she doesn’t send a paycheck!

Does it really matter if it’s true or not? What significance would the two being the same really have? They both work to accomplish virtually the same goals i virtually the same manner, so whether it’s two people or one, the end result is still the same.

I would warn you about committing to fully to circumstantial evidence. While the pieces may look very clear and obvious, the trouble with circumstantial evidence is it is very easy for other facts to completely overturn your case. I’ve seen some very smart people make themselves look stupid by claiming alt links that turned out to be easily proven false once the charge was clearly made. You present a very good case at the moment, but if it is false, you could be surprised at how quickly it could be overturn.

i’ve wondered on occasion if Pixeleen was actually Urizenus.

quite similar stylistically (with the massive ego to boot!) and i wouldn’t put it past Ludlow to pull something like that.

i myself would never refer to Ludlow, the overgrown child in disguise as an academic, as a “philosopher” by any means. although, i suppose abject hedonism fueled by unfettered egoism is a sort of philosophy. never the less, usually we let history decide who will be referred to as a Philosopher.

OK, so I have no life and am clearly sitting in my mom’s basement surrounded by empty pizza boxes, crushed cans of “Red Bull” and “Bawls,” and taking a break from playing on-line “Halo” with seven adolescents with names like “DeadManWanking,” “C0d3Br3akr” and “NoHonestImNot12.”

Logophiles and Conspiracy Theorists may already have worked this out, but “Pixeleen Mistral” is an anagram of “Is all experiment.” Similarly, Urizenus Sklar is “Nazi user lurks.” If further proof were needed of a dastardly plot, “The Second Life Herald” is an anagram for “Hide the fallen coders!” (It’s also an anagram for “She fellatio drenched” but I thought it politic not to go there – yet.)

But it goes deeper: Peter J. Ludlow is “Jew plot ruled. “Coincidence? Well, seems like a LOT of coincidences, eh?

So there you have it, dear dear readers: The Herald is nothing more than a Nazi-Jewish conspiracy to hide Griefers in Second Life, with the aim of achieving internet domination! And who said reading “Foucault’s Pendulum” was a waste of time?

    I’m still going shopping though.

Notice that while Urizenus has an email address link on the sidebar, Pixeleen doesn’t. And why would she need one, if Pixeleen and Urizenus ARE the same person?

It looks circumstantial, but when all the clues point in the same direction, sooner or later you have to ask yourself why.

  26. Duh!

@Witless X: “Notice that while Urizenus has an email address link on the sidebar, Pixeleen doesn’t. And why would she need one, if Pixeleen and Urizenus ARE the same person?”

Really? You mean pixeleen.mistral[at]gmail.com (listed right there in the sidebar) isn’t an email address? Then it must be some secret code meaning “I am Urizenus, psych!!!111!!!”
