Furries Invade RL Fashion Show

Furries on the runway - is nothing sacred?

By Pixeleen Mistral, National Affairs desk

SL - RL furry crossover crossdressing fashion?

The Herald mojo wire made some strange sounds this morning and coughed up a furball of an RL fashion alert. It appears that some designers have been spending far too much time in Furnation, and it has begun to affect their work in RL - if this page at we-make-money-not-art.com can be taken seriously.

Our fabulous furry freak friends will want to study the entire gallery at NewsFashionWeek.com.

Man, SLH is slipping. It's starting to resemble Valleywag in here, bringing the most tenuous possible connections in to accomplish what? bash furries (again)? prove something negative about Linden Labs using guilt by association? I don't get the purpose of this. What was the motive of this story?

Incidentally, furries existed long before SL and will exist long after it. Not everything furry-ish in the real world is connected to SL.

Yes, a blatant attempt to bash Linden Lab, it is *so* transparent: That is obviously Philip inside the poodle head.

But on the fashion itself. These designers have definitely taken plaid where it has never gone before.

While your on a furry tangent, don't forget this classic:

"OMG, this is horrible. People think they are animals."

You're right. a classic.

Pixaleen, were you referencing the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers??? OMIGOD! I love you! And was Fat Freddy Scat in the fashion show??

I always wondered why fashion designers make this kind of stuff, there's no chance in hell this is going to be casually worn by anyone anywhere.

Artemis: It's about branding and exploring concepts. Same reason Toyota makes a goofy concept car that can drive sideways. Nobody's going to actually buy that car but people remember it subliminally when they're buying a Camry.

That's the horniest poodle I've ever seen.

While we're on a furry tangent, remember: How you react to furries says more about you than it does about them.
